One fine Sunday we pootled up the Cairngorms 'cos there was no cloud on them whatsoever, and lots of snow...
This meant wandering about on a snow-covered plateau at around 3,500 ft
in bright sunshine, which most days in Winter is covered in cloud, gales
and blizzards. Ben MacDui is the second highest peak in the UK, most of
the Cairgorm tops are over 4000 ft.
Carn Toul from the plateau on the way to Ben MacDui.
On the march...Ben Macdui just visible on the horizon.
Braeriach from the plateau, on the way to Ben MacDui
only a bit closer by now.
